Yes, our shea butter products can soften or melt in temperatures above 89°F. During warmer months, there is a possibility of melting while in transit. If this happens, simply place the product in a cool room or refrigerate it briefly to restore its texture. The quality and benefits remain unchanged.

To help prevent melting:

Provide a shipping address where someone can receive the package promptly.
Avoid leaving your package in direct sunlight or hot areas, such as mailboxes or porches.
Refrigerate melted shea butter to solidify it again.

Our shea butter is ethically sourced from Ghana, where it is handcrafted by women-led cooperatives using traditional methods. We are committed to fair trade and ensuring that the women producing our shea butter receive sustainable wages.

Absolutely! We only use premium-grade essential oils that are pure, natural, and ethically sourced. Each essential oil is carefully selected to enhance our formulations, ensuring they deliver maximum skin-nourishing benefits without synthetic additives.

For best results, apply shea butter or body creams to slightly damp skin after a shower or bath. This helps lock in moisture for deep hydration.

Product Information

While our products are designed for body and hair care, some customers use them on their face. If you have sensitive skin, we recommend doing a patch test on your inner arm before applying it to your face. Check the ingredient list for any allergens and consult a dermatologist if needed.

Absolutely! We never test on animals. Our products are 100% cruelty-free and made with love.

Yes! Afya Shea products are both vegan and gluten-free. You can find the full ingredient list on each product’s page under “Description.”

Since we use natural ingredients without artificial stabilizers, slight variations in texture, scent, or color can occur due to seasonal changes in raw materials. These variations do not affect the product’s quality or effectiveness.

Shipping

We process and ship orders Monday through Thursday by 3 PM EST. Orders placed on Friday will be shipped the following Monday to prevent exposure to extreme temperatures in transit.

Most orders arrive within 3-5 business days. You’ll receive a tracking number via email once your order has shipped.

We currently ship within the United States, including Puerto Rico, Guam, and U.S. military addresses (APO, FPO, and DPO). Shipping times may be longer for Hawaii, Alaska, and U.S. territories

Returns & Exchanges & Payment

If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 30 days of receiving your order for a refund. We recommend using our products for at least 5-8 applications, as it takes time to adjust to new skincare routines.

We do not handle returns for in-store purchases. Please contact the retailer directly for their return policy.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal. At this time, we do not accept prepaid cards or money orders.
